“Buon appetito”

about us

Almost 25 years ago I opened La Dolce Vita in Little Italy….

after many trips to Italy working, tasting and learning about the wine and food cultures in a land my family originated. I have opened La Strada after years of evolving ideas and experiences in the pursuit of bringing Italian culture to East 4th Street . La Strada is endlessly searching for the finest ingredients from the fresh farms in Ohio to the best imported products of Italy. Wines from great vineyards and beers from dedicated craftsmen all embracing our fine food 7 days a week…. keeping your satisfaction as our unconditional goal.

  • My husband and I found this restaurant using Open Table. We needed a restaurant before the Old Crow Medicine Show at Playhouse Square. What a great find!
We sat outside, listened to the music, enjoyed a cocktail and great appetizer of humus and pita. Fresh salad with just enough salad dressing. The pasta dishes were great. And, of course, who can resist fresh tiramisu?
    Very enjoyable. Nice wait staff

  • This was a great place to find. It is on a happening street and had outdoor dining. The food was well prepared and reasonably priced as were the bar drinks. I would definitely go back when I visit again.

  • My husband & I came to La Strada as a last minute find after the Indians game. I had the salmon special, which was wonderful. It was to be served with vegetable & creamed corn. The chef & waiter came out & said the same. Unfortunately, it was only served with vegetables. But fortunately, because of this error, the house gave us a free dessert!! The wine was wonderful & reasonably priced. Overall a good meal & great time

  • I had the special pan seared salmon with vegetables and the salmon was well seasoned and cooked on the outside but towards the middle it was poorly flavored and undercooked. However, the sirloin was phenomenal! Well seasoned and didn’t need steak sauce to enhance it. The entire dish was so fulfilling and paired well with ale. The caprese salad was also well prepared and the mozzarella was delicious and fresh. Service was above satisfactory and outside dinning is a must if the weather calls for it. All in all, this was a very good meal and prefect for a romantic date.
